BEHOLD, .. Our Fleet of New 2019 Yamaha Waverunners

The combined weight of the driver and passenger cannot exceed 350 lbs. Exceeding this amount will cause the PWC (personal watercraft vehicle) to become unstable and you will find it difficult to keep the jetski upright. It is your responsibility to not exceed the weight limit and refunds are not offered in the event you violate this policy. We recommend renting an additional Yamaha Waverunner in this case.

Jet Skis are a fun and safe way to get out on the water in a fast, efficient way. Saulo’s Water Sports waverunners are the most fuel efficient personal watercraft vehicles you can rent and are easy to use. We thrive to get anyone out on the beaches onto the lake so that they may enjoy Lake Tahoe Jet Ski Experience!

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE WATER ONCE THE WAVERUNNER ENGINE STARTS!

Moving Onto the Water

Basics of Riding A Yamaha Waverunner Rental

Step onto the waverunner before placing your hands firmly on the handles. It is easy to firmly grip the cushioned handles throughout your ride making sure that you remain in full control of the jet ski. Engage the throttle slowly until you reach a speed of about 10 miles per hour. You should never go faster than this when you are near the beach for your safety along with the safety of others.

Turning

One of the facets of riding a waverunner that many novices struggle with is turning. It is a good idea that you practice turning near the shore before you pick up speed or get too far out in the water where you will encounter other wave runners and boats. When turning, think about maintaining your balance.

Speeding Up

half day waverunner rentals
Have any questions about riding a wave runner? Ask Saulo at the time of rental!

Once you master turning while keeping your balance, you will be ready to pick up speed as you move further from the shore. Feel the nose of the wave runner rise out of the water as you pick up speed. While this unnerves many novices, it is perfectly normal, so you can relax and enjoy the ride.

Be Prepared for the Inevitable Jump

As your skill level improves and you take things faster, your jet ski is likely to hop off waves. As you feel the jet ski lift into the air, lift your buttocks a few inches off the seat. This allows you to enjoy a more comfortable ride and minimize impact.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WAVE RUNNER & A JET SKI?

While the terms “wave runner” and “jet ski” have been used interchangeably, the brand WaveRunner is a type of PWC made by Yamaha while Kawasaki makes Jet Ski. Both companies make many different models of personal watercraft that offer consumers the opportunity to ride standing, sitting, alone or with passengers.
